And in the land of Ham for them. most wondrous works had done And by the red sea dredfull things performed long agone. Therfore for their so shewing them, forgetfull and vnkind, To bring destruction on them all he purposde in his minde.

And to destroy theyr sede among the nations with his rod, And through the contrees of the world to scatter them abrode. To Baal Peor then they did, adioyne themselues also,

Thus with theyr owne inuentions, his wrath they did prouoke, And in his so inkindled wrath, the plage vpon them broke. But Phineas stoode vp with zeale, the sinners vile to stay, And iudgement he did execute, and then the plage did stay,
