COnstantinus the youngest sonne of Manuell, and when his brother Iohn died without yssue hee was made Emperour, when the most sauage and cruell Turkes had taken Constantinople spoyling and racing it downe, [ E] he stood fearefully at the gate of the citty, wher he was trod vnder foote by the tumult of them that ran away, and so perished with his whole Nation and city.
