This honour hath Ioseph above his brethren; who also whiles he lived, saw unto Ephraim sonnes of the third generation: also the sonnes of Machir sonne of Manasses, were borne up∣on Iosephs knees, Gen. 50. 23. And Manasses here hath eight families, when no other tribe hath so many.
