IVDE, vers. 5.I will put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord having saved a people out of the Land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that beleeved not.
PSALM. 95. 10.Fortie yeeres was I grieved with this generation.
HEB. 3. 17, 18, 19. & 4. 11.But with whom was he grieved fortie yeeres? Was it not with them that had sinned, whose carkasses fell in the wildernesse? And to whom sware he, that they should not enter into his rest; but to them that beleeved not? So wee see, that they could not enter in, be∣cause of unbeleefe. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbeleefe.
