That onely Saincts, that is, a people forsaking all knowne sinne of which* 1.1 they may be convinced, doing all the knowne will of God, encreasing and abi∣ding ever therein are the onely matter of the visible Church.

This Position, which you account errour, rightly vnderstood,* 1.2 and according to his exposition from whom you received it, is an vndoubted truth. For of such onely (externally, and so farre as men can iudge) the true Church is gathered, whether out of Paga∣nism, Iudaism, Antichristianism, or any other Idolatrous, or adul∣terous estate whatsoever, and of them alone framed, as of the sub∣ject matter: which is onely true, whilest it continueth such, & false when it degenerates from this disposition, and so as rotten & pu∣trified stuffe to be cast out of the Church.

We will then come to your allegations to the contrary.
