1. There is a God.

For the invisible things of him, that is, his eternall power and Godhead, are seene by the creation of the world, beeing considered in his workes, to the intent,* 1.1 that they should be without excuse.

Neuerthelesse, he left not himselfe without witnesse, in that he did good and gaue vs raine from heauen,* 1.2 and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladnes.
