neither shall anie euill dwell with thee. Thou hatest all them that worke vanitie: leade me therefore in thy righteousnesse, O Lord; for I am weake, and without thee I haue no strength at all: therfore, O Lord God, rebuke me not in thine indignation, neither chasten me in thy heauie displeasure. Haue mercie vpon me, O Lord, and deliuer my soule. Oh saue me, for thy mercie sake. I am almost wearie of my groning. Euerie night wash I my bed, and water my couch with my teares. O Lord my God, in thee haue I put my trust: saue mee from all them that persecute me, and deliuer me. O Lord my God, if I haue done anie such thing, as is laid to my charge; or if there be anie such wickednesse in me; then let mine enimie persecute my soule, and take me captiue. Hast not thou, O Lord my God, de∣fended me from such vngodlinesse? Oh how long wilt thou hide thy selfe from me thy poore afflicted seruant? Oh how long shall I seeke comfort in my soule, and be so vexed in my hart? Yea how long shall mine enimies triumph ouer me? Consider and heare me, O Lord my God, lighten mine eies that I sleepe not in death: least mine enimies saie, I haue preuailed against him. For if I be cast downe, then they that trouble me will re∣ioice at it. But my trust is in thy mercie, O Lord, and my hart is ioifull in thy saluation. For after a storme thou makest the weather faire, and still after weeping and heauinesse thou giuest great ioie. Thy name, O most mightie God, be praised for euer and euer,
