gifts to interpret the Scriptures, tryed in the exercise of Prophecy, attending to studie and learning may and ought (by the appointment of the Congregation) to prophesie, according to the proporti∣on of faith, and so to teach publickly the word of God, for the edification, ex∣hortation and comfort of the Church: Vntill such tyme as the people be meet for and God manifest men with able gifts and fitnes to such Office or Offices as Christ hath appointed to the publick Ministerie of his Church: But‡ 1.2 no Sa∣craments to be administred vntil the Pas∣tors or Teachers be chosen and ordeined into their Office.
