Ye brag that the merite of good workes, cannot be found in all the Scripture:* 1.1 But therein you belie both vs and the holy scripture. For in the booke of Ecclesiasticus, I finde these ex∣presse wordes; Omnis misericordia faciet locum vnicui{que} secun∣dum meritum operum suorum. All mercie shall make place to euerie one, according to the merite of his workes. Loe, here is made expresse mention, of the merite of his good workes.
