FEnix is a prouince, & hath that name at Fenice the brother of Cathini. For Fenix was put out of Glebis The bis in Aegipt, & driuen into Sir••••, & reigned in Sidon, and called the land after his own name Fenicia. It is the land wherin Ti∣rus is, against the which spake Esay, as Isid. saith li. 15. & 9. This lande hath A∣rablam in the East side, and the red Sea in the South, & the Sea of middle earth in the West, and mount Lebanian in the North.
