As the Councel of Nice saith, The Lambe is laide vpon the Aultar, alludinge vnto the Sacrifices of the Olde Lawe, euen so dooth S. Augustine say vnto the people,* 1.1 Vos estis in Mensa: vos estis in Calice. You are vpon the Table: you are in the Cuppe. As the people is laide vpon the Table, so is Christe laide vpon the Table.
