¶ Whan so euer I haue in a reason a nowne or a pro nowne substantyf with nowne. pronowne. or parti∣cyple adiectyf comynge togyder without ony verbe. or other worde of whom they may be gouerned / they shall be put in yt ablatyf case / whiche is called the ab∣latyf case inconsequent. yf there come a noīatyf case

with his verbe hangynge other before or after / as ce∣sar teynynge virgyll was borne. Cesare regnāte Uir gilius natus est vel natus erat.

This case is called absolute or inconsequēte bycause that he is loused from the power of all gouernaunce and standeth in a reason / as the mayster techȳge / the scolers muste take hede. Docente preceptore. discipu los oportet animaduertere. In beynge deed yu shalte lacke helpe. Mortuo me. indigebis 〈◊〉〈◊〉.

The ablatyf inconsequēt may be expowned or decla red by these aduerbes. Dum. quū. or quando. & suche tenses of the verbes / as the partycyples be / whan I haue a partycyple in the sayd ablatyf case as Docen te preceptore disco vel disccbā. i. Dum. quū. or quādo preceptor docet. vel docebat.

¶ More ouer whan soeuer I haue in a reason ony su che sygne / whyles as longe as / after yt / yf / althoughe notwithstondynge / or neuertheles. Than I may tor ne the nexte verbe in to a partycyple / & set hym in ab latyf case inconsequent in conformyte of case / gendre and nombre / to the worde that semeth to be the no∣minatyf case to the sayd verbe / as whyles I lyue / yu canst lacke no thynge. Dum ego viuo. vel me viuēte potest 〈◊〉〈◊〉 nichil 〈◊〉〈◊〉. Preestys after theyr matens be sayd hye theym selfe to masse. Sacerdotes dictis prius matutinis parant sese ad missam. Fyrst serue thy maker / whan thou hast do so / go about other thȳ ges. Primum serui creatori quo facto: alias res 〈◊〉〈◊〉 age.
