An excellent Balme of Earthwormes for the speedie curing of al maner of wounds, espe∣ciallie those of the ioynts, sinewes, tendons, and about the head. It cureth prickes ac∣cording to the first intention, and is profi∣table also against Palsies, Crampes, num∣nesse, and such like.

Olei Terebinthinae lib. v. vermium* 1.1 terrestriū praeparat. lib.ij.ss. myrrhae ℥.ij.ss. masticis, sarcocollae, olibani ℥.iij. galbani, gummi ammoniaci, ana.℥.j. bdellij, ℥.ij. gum. elemij, ℥.iij. gariophylor.℥.iij. olei cō∣munis, lib.ij. olei lumbricor. nostrae inuen∣tionis lib.j. terebinthinae puriss. lib.j. Put altogether, except the Oyle of wormes and common oyle, into the oyle of Terpentine, (but the gummes being first finely minced,

and the rest powdered, and so let them stand thirtie daies: then powre out by it selfe the clearer part; but the thicker part with all the grounds, put into your boyling vessell together with a pint of Malmsey or Sack, and the other two Oyles that before were excepted. Let these thus boyle together the space of three houres, alway stirring it least it burne to the bottome. At length when the thicke parts beginne to swimme aloft, take it from the fire, and put into it the oyle of Terpentine that before was cléered from it. Last of all straine it purely, and keepe it to your vse.
