§. 8. Truth in dea∣lings: wherein is the true-dealers

THe vprightnesse of the iust shall guide them,* 1.1 and direct their waie;* 1.2 which is euer plaine and straight; whereas the waie of others is peruerted, & strāge.* 1.3 Yea,* 1.4 as to do iustice and iudge∣ment is more acceptable (to the Lord) then sacrifice;* 1.5 so it is a ioy to the iust himselfe,* 1.6 to do iudge∣ment: all his labour therfore ten∣deth to life;* 1.7 hee knovveth the cause of the poore,* 1.8 and wil haue care of his soule:* 1.9 His worke is right,* 1.10 neither intendeth he anie

euill against his neighbour; see∣ing he dwelleth by him without feare; and what loseth hee by this? As the true balance,* 1.11 and weight are of the Lord, & al the weights of the bagge are his worke: So God loueth him that followeth righteousnesse:* 1.12 * 1.13 and with men; The righteous is more excellēt then his neighbour:* 1.14 and Better is the poore that walketh in his vp∣rightnesse, then hee that per∣uerteth his wayes, though hee be rich.* 1.15 Yea finally; The memo∣riall of the iust shall bee blessed.
