THE petye counsell shall chose them, to present them to the two hundred which haue authority to ratifye the electiō or to make another withoute prolonging the tyme: and the office shalbe thre yere at the least excepte there happen death or a nota∣ble fault, enot wythstandynge in the tearme of thre yere there shalbe made a surueie, & the office perused if they ought to contynue therin: before they shall enter into ye possession they shall Page  49 make an othe before the counsell in maner folowing.
