PAPILIO COON.

GENERIC CHARACTER. Antennae clubbed at the end. Wings erect when at rest. Fly by day.

SPECIFIC CHARACTER. Anterior wings brown. Posterior wings, and tails, black: white spots at the base; and two yellow spots on the interior angle.

PAPILIO COON: alis caudatis concoloribus: anticis fuscis. Posticis nigris basi albo maculaque duplici anguli ani flava. Fab. Ent. Syst. 3. p. 1. 10. 27.—Jon. fig. pict. 1. tab. 36.

This beautiful species is selected from the drawings of Mr. Jones; because we presume that a figure of it has never been published before.
