Two officia4 of the Urugniayan Ministry of Public Health visited
the Fabassy on ~,ebr9 to obtain inforuatimn concerning the official
status of the Sbn oral polio vaccine reportedly recently apgr red by
the U.S. Public Health Service. The Ministry of Public Health is
interested in contacting one or more of the firms which will be producing the Sabin vaccine in the hope of conducting certain teat. or
experiments in Uruguay.

the Dpatiet of Health, Welfare and Educatiosi to determine if the
vaccine has been officially approved, which firme, if ax4,, have been
licened to produce the Sabin vaccine and whcm the Urugusyan Ministry
