The cost of full immunization in the public market has grown significantly as well. Again, as
shown in Exhibit 21, about 50 percent of the growth in total cost from 1982 to 1993 has come
from additions to the childhood immunization schedule. But, in this case, the price increases
have contributed only about 17 percent to the total growth, much less than in the private
market.
