April 3 or 4 Conference Call on Vaccines

Dear All,

I have begun to identify and contact potential "witnesses" for our planned conference
call on April 4 or 5 to review the major remediable problems in getting an AIDS vaccine
developed as soon as possible. I will share a list of those available with everyone as soon as I
get back all the replies. Time may prevent us from accommodating everyone who may be
willing and interested in giving testimony, but I am explaining this fact to potential invitees.
Please pass me your suggestions on specific people whom you would like me to poll for
their availability and interest, including fax, phone, postal and e-mail addresses, if you have
them. Please see the attached e-mail message to Jeff Levi about inviting the NIAID AIDS
Division director to participate.
Hopefully our mid-to-late March conference call(s) on pediatric and behavioral issues
will give us useful experience in how to schedule and manage these "telehearings."
