162 t e 3 ' r 1 I left there. I made the phone call. I was 2 not more than five minutes, came back, Bill was in an 3 upright position with his eyes rolled back in his head. 4 I kept calling to him to let him know I tried to reach his 5 parents. There was no response from him. I called one of 6 the nurses and the nurse came over. She looked at him. 7 He wasn't responding for her. She called for a doctor. 8 They asked me to step out of the room. When I 9 did, they called a Code Blue. I waited there. Finally, 10 the doctor told me he had stopped breathing, that he 11 cannot get him to start breathing again. They inserted 12 the respirator, and that he was a very sick man, and he 13 probably would not make it through the night. They didn't 14 know what was causing the problem. 15 Q Did you discuss with them possible possibilities? 16 A Well, they asked me had he been in contact with 17 whatever. I told him my father was in the hospital with 18 meningitis. 19 Q What did they ask you, whether he had been in 20 contact with -- 21 A With anybody that had been sick.
