[Minutes, Advisory Committee to the Director GP-160 Meeting (1992: Bethesda, Maryland)]

32 1 variability. 2 So I presented that data actually not in 3 a contentious way with respect to at least my 4 interpretation of, quote, "rgp 160's" role there. It 5 is very clear that we don't get protection with BAC on 6 the long list of combinations that does do that. And 7 it is a very positive response on the basis of the 8 immunogen. The fact that I think it is lost over time 9 is something that I believe. 10 Now, I would also say to my knowledge that 11 the SCID use studies that were done were: A) Did it 12 use a different vaccination schema? And, number two, 13 is that the patients that were selected for protection 14 were the one that had the highest T cell responses in 15 the Mosier experiment. 16 To my knowledge, that was not done in the 17 NIAID experiment. We use it, again, as an example to 18 say that the immunogen may have a role and may have a 19 functional response. 20 So if you have misinterpreted my 21 interpretation of those data, I would say I think you 22 have.
