5 Next slide. Some questions related to
6 envelope vaccine in HIV seropositives I think you
7 could postulate are the following. You can look at
8 the envelope products as being naturally glycosylated,
9 like in mammalian cells, or more unnaturally
10 glycosylated in baculovirus.
11 I would put forth that one could answer
12 the scientific question: Does one want to have a
13 differing product, like the baculovirus, or does one
14 want to have a more natural product, like the
15 CHO-produced vaccines? I don't think we know the
16 question.
17 And why envelope? Much of the CTL
18 response that we believe that it's CTLs that are
19 important are to the core antigens, both with respect
20 to HIV as well as many other viruses that we know of
21 in nature.
22 So why not gather non-glycosylated
