2 protection that we see in the SCID-hu PVL model,
3 whatever that may be, knowing that it is an unofficial
4 situation. Next slide.
5 Now I wanted to then switch now to the
6 issue of what we know about envelope products in
7 seropositive patients. Certainly, the best trial that
8 has been done to date or the most advanced has been
9 the data that has been done by Walter Reed, with Bob
10 Redfield as the first article. This is a table from
11 the New England Journal article.
12 I'm not going to go through this,
13 fortunately, in detail or we'll have drooping eyelids;
14 but the point I would like to make, and essentially
15 has been made by Fred, is that the vaccine is able,
16 with multiple doses, to elicit antigens -- elicit new
17 antibody responses or anti-nascent antibody responses
18 to different epitopes of HIV envelope that are novel.
19 I would like to, however, point out that,
20 whether it's curious or not curious, an explanation
21 for discussion is that there is not a consistent
22 pattern between patients and that, if one looks at
