1 integrated virus is not the virus that one would
2 expect an immune response to be sensitive to.
3 Nonetheless, no change in virus by this measurement
4 was seen. This should be a horseradish peroxidase.
5 The next slide looks at CD4 counts. This
6 study had only twelve people in the control group. It
7 was not designed to get any assessment of declines in
8 CD4 in this healthy group of people. Nonetheless, we
9 did do the measurements, and I present them to you.
10 These are the two groups, and I can't
11 remember -- The bottom one is the recipients of gp-160
12 who declined and CD numbers is identical over this
13 forty-eight wek period.

14 Quite strikingly, ' though, the
15 statisticians, when they looked at percentage of CD4,
16 which is a little bit more precise a measurement,
17 observed the following, as shown on the next slide.
18 Two types of data are presented on this
19 slide. The lines that jump all over the place
20 represent the mean CD4 counts of the recipients of gp21 160 or the recipients of the Hepatitis vaccine over
22 time.
