2 takes into account how quickly the immune response
3 comes up, the height of that response, and how long it
4 lasts.
5 What you observe is really substantial
6 responses to the immunogen, 160, 120, lesser response
7 but still quite strikingly elevated above those in the
8 Hepatitis control to the envelope 2-3 SF2 isolate, and
9 responses, as I've indicated, to P-24.
10 The statistical significance is not always
11 great, primarily because of the scatter of the values
12 and the variation in the system. The next slide,
13 please.
14 Now new antibody responses also were seen.
15 At the bottom of this slide is a linear diagram of
16 various regions of the envelope protein. Of
17 particular importance is to pay attention to the ones
18 labeled C, which are constant or conserved regions
19 that are roughly the same between different isolates.
20 What you see here is that individuals who
21 received the Hepatitis vaccine did not develop immune
22 responses against new determinants. Those who
