44 1 and the low protein as well. The next slide, please 2 -- shows that in a different patient the responses 3 were very large indeed. 4 You saw the development of responses not 5 only to the immunogens and the other baculovirus and 6 the low protein, but also quite vigorous responses 7 with stimulation indices of 100 at times to a 8 recombinant envelope protein prepared in a different 9 system and made from a different genomic sequence. 10 Also quite conspicuous in this patient 11 were the development of increased immune responses to 12 P-24 antigen, an antigen which is not in the 13 immunogen. This is not in the vaccine. These 14 individuals can have seen P-24 only by virtue of their 15 own ihfection, and they respond after administration 16 of the envelope protein in a way that they did not 17 respond before administration of the envelope protein. 18 The next slide shows the aggregate data, 19 indicating that these responses were not observed in 20 the Hepatitis vaccine recipients, were observed at 21 each of the doses to roughly equivalent degrees in 22 recipients of gp-160.
