1 Plotted are the response to the immunogen;
2 in these crosses, the response to gp-120, also a
3 baculovirus product, the response to D-66, a reverse
4 transcriptase protein, the response in vitro at P-24,
5 the response -- This should be envelope 23. However,
6 there is some data, more limited on an actual gp-120.
7 This is a recombinant protein made from
8 the SF-2 isolate and expressed in a different system.
9 So that we're controlling for responses in vitro to a
10 different isolate and expressed in a different system.
11 Finally, plotted on top are the CD4 cells
12 at the time.
13 This study was designed to test
14 immunogenicity, as Dr. Hoth said. It is not designed
15 to test efficacy. What you see is two to three
16 measurements before immunization and then the
17 development of quite vigorous, in fact, quite
18 astounding at times, proliferative responses to the
19 immunogen, both gp-160 and gp-120, and in this man
20 also the P-24.
21 There are responses to P-66 and, really,
22 the beginning of responses in this case to the SF-2
