24 1 date. 2 The immunogens involve either the gp-160 3 or the gp-120 sequence of the envelope, produced in 4 either insect cells or a variety of other cells, 5 especially the mammalian cells which are thought to 6 produce a more natural glycocelation. 7 The HIV -- one strain of the immunogen is, 8 in the earliest experiments, the LAI or 3B, and more 9 recently products are moving to the MN or SF2 strains, 10 which are more prevalent, at least in the developed 11 world, using a variety of adjuncts. Next slide. 12 Here we see a list of others. This list 13 is probably not exhaustive, but at least several other 14 candidates that we are aware of in seropositives. The 15 CORE -- the HIV CORE protein from the group in 16 Britain, a synthetic peptide of immunodominant 17 peptides being developed at the group at Duke, soon to 18 enter clinical trial. 19 The only one in this group to have 20 significant data reported to date is a whole and 21 activated virus.
