Dear Mr. Cohen,
Lynne Mofenson reviewed the dosage regimens that I sent to you acrosS
the NIH and CDC studies in Thailand Although these are the dosages
actually written in the protocols for both studies (I think you have
Marc Lallemant's protocol), Lynne thinks that the regimens were changed
slightly by common agreement after the protocols were drafted. I am
checking both protocols with the investigators now (both Harvard and
CDC) and will FAX you what the investigators themselves have to say. It
probably doesn't make a tremendous amount of difference (if different
than what I sent you, Marc Lallemant's prenatal dosage is 300 mg twice
daily instead of 500 mg. divided 200 - 100 '200 while the CDC regimen
may be 300 mg twice daily instead of 250 mg twice daily) and what I sent
you is what we have on record here. However, if the information is
erroneous, I would want you to know about it.
Sorry if this has caused any problems. I'll FAX the information as soon
as I have it.
