Dates and costs of entire project 07/01/93 - 06/30/96 $ 208,695 total costs d Dates and costs of current year 07/01/93 - 06/30/94 $ 69,565 total costs e. Specific aims of project Structural and functional relationships between retroviral oncogenes and correspondina cellular proto-oncogenes: Are mutated ("activated") proto-oncogenes carcinogenic? Generation of retroviral oncogenes from proto-oncogenes and non-oncogenic retroviruses. t Describe scientific and budgetary overlap Scientifically, the CTR and the interim NIH explore different aspects of the same general topic. For instance, viral transduction of proto-onc gene-sequences and functional tests of mutated proto-onc genes. There is no scientific overlap between them and the present application. g. Describe adjustments you will make if the present application is funded (budget, % effort, aims, etc.) Should the present application be funded, Ruhong Li's effort on the CTR would be reduced to 0%, and we would hire a replacement postdoctoral on the CTR at 50% to perform the duties originally designated for him.
