BERLIN -- Laboratory workers infected with the human immunodeficiency virus
(HIV) at work have developed depressed immune function and AIDS without the presence of
any other co-factors, scientists at the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI) said today at the
IXth International Conference on AIDS. Although the total number of lab workers infected
