Dear Dr. Bogorad,
I am writing to submit "The Role of Drugs in the Origin of AIDS" for
publication in the Proceedings.
The paper emerged from a precursor that had been submitted -to the
Proceedings in Dec. 27, 1990. As my letter to you from March 14 describes, that
earlier paper had been subjected to review by Dr. Dawid. I have answered
these reviews in a revised draft of the earlier paper sent to you on March 14.
In the meantime, I have reconsidered and decided to submit instead
the new paper with a new title. The new paper includes the revised elements
of the older one but is significantly improved and extended. It has 13 pages
and 105 references compared to the 5 pages and 60 references of the previous
one.
