Please send me records regarding requests to the Interagency
Animal Model Committee, a division of the National Chimpanzee
breeding and Research Program, for chimpanzees to be used for HIV
research. I am interested in learning which requests were made and
by whom, and whether the requests were approved or denied. I am
~ so interested in what the requesters who received animals were
charged, which the facility providing the chimps must inform the
committee (or so I have been told). I am requesting all of the
* bove mentioned documents as per the Freedom of Information Act
for a book I am writing on AIDS vaccine research for Delacorte
Press.

where to appeal.
I expect to be notified that you have received this request within
10 days, as specified in the Freedom of Information Act. As my
*roject is in the public interest, I believe I qualify for a fee
waiver. If, however, a waiver in fees will significantly delay the
