These sessions will be held on a rotational basis in English, Spanish and French and will provide many useful insights for all. See you there! Venue: Hall 2:4 Times: 10o:oo00-10:30 English Conference Opening Ceremony Venue: Palau St. Jordi Time: 19:30-21:oo00 Join us at Barcelona's impressive Palau St. Jordi for the AIDS 2002 Opening Ceremony. This promises to be an opening ceremony to remember. The Conference will present an impressive blend of Mediterranean culture and key voices in the epidemic today. Among the distinguished guests and speakers at the Opening Ceremony are Dr Peter Piot, Executive Director, UNAIDS, Dr Stefano Vella, President, International AIDS Society, and Spanish public officials. The keynote address will be delivered by The Honorable Jose Maria Mendiluce of the European Parliament. Throughout, Els Comediants, a theater group of spectacular proportions, will offer a thoughtful and enchanting performance. Please note: Admission to the Opening Ceremony is with Conference Badge or special printed invitation only. Guests must be seated no later than 19:15. Welcome Reception Venue: Esplanade outside Palau St. Jordi Time: 21:00-23:00 There will be a reception immediately following the Opening Ceremony to welcome all delegates, accompanying persons and exhibitors to the Conference.
