* 320 advanced AIDS patients

* 87 PI- and 3TC-naive patients
* At 32 weeks, analysis showed that twice-daily dosing with
CRIXIVAN had a similar efficacy and safety profile to the
three-times-a-day dosing
CRIXIVAN 1200mg twice daily in combination with D4T and
3TC
* Preliminary data from 23 patients (10 anti-HIV treatment
naive) suggesting that CRIXIVAN twice-daily has at least the
same efficacy and tolerability as the three-times-a-day
dosage regimen in combination therapy was presented

* Viral load below level of detection (<200 copies/mL) in 58
percent of patients (11 of 19) at mean follow-up at 10 weeks
* Six patients had less than 1500 copies/mL

in adverse events
