CRIXIVAN (1000mg q8h) in combination with efavirenz
(600mg qd) and abacavir twice-daily or CRIXIVAN (1200mg
q12h) in combination with efavirenz (300mg q12h) and
abacavir twice-daily
* 30 AZT/3TC-experienced, nNRTI-naive patients
* CD4 cell counts <_200 cells/ mm3
CRIXIVAN alone or in combination with AZT
* 996 treatment-naive patients
* Progression to AIDS-defining conditions (opportunistic
infections or death) reduced by almost two-thirds

* Gender analysis to be presented at the 12th World AIDS

* 100-week data (97 patients):
* Undetectable levels of virus (<500 copies/mL) sustained in
