Uednesday July 1,1998 - 115 - 22:00: Pclepo, Hall 5, Session Hall VI "Achieving Adherence to HIV Therapies" MATEP ADHERENCE INITIATIVE PROJECT REGISTRATION The MATEP Adherence Initiative is a forum comprised of expert practitioners, consumers, researchers, educators and administrators. Results will be presented of this year long initiative, focusing on adherence to HIV combination therapies in practice situations. The initiative is co-sponsored by eleven cooperating agencies. LEARNING OBJECTIVES * To understand the importance of achieving very high levels of adherence to triple combination therapy from the global HIV/AIDS epidemic from the short, medium and long term perspective. * To attain a broad understanding of adherence within the sub-populations of people affected by the HIV epidemic. * To be able to identify the resources to establish, maintain and enhance adherence.
