VTCC 9 10:00 - 12:00 Drop-in Computer Use for Delegates
If demand warrants, users will be limited in the time they may use computers. One tutor
will be available.
12:00 - 14:30 Hands-on Training
Professional trainers will run short sessions designed to familiarise participants
with basic on-line tools including:
* e-mail products - list serves - e-mail conferencing;
* obtaining important information from the internet; and
" getting access to the internet from your locale.
14:30 - 15:30 Project Demonstrations
HIV related information and communications technology from around the world will
be demonstrated. Project managers will be on hand to show participants how to use
the technology, get access, and explain what lessons have been learned.
Projects may include:
- Health Net - Africa
" Uganda Blood Bank
" Centre for Disease Control (CDC) Clearinghouse
- InterACT: International Database of AIDS Clinical Trials
* Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange (CATIE)
* Network of Sex Work Projects
15:30 - 18:00 Hands-on Training
