continued from previous page... i4 XI International Conference on AIDS Vancouver July 7-12, 1996 British Columbia and Canada Canada's Minister of Health, Hon. David Dingwall will offer delegates a synopsis of Canada's effort against AIDS. Premier Glen Clark, will provide a more local perspective and will also declare the Conference officially open. Welcomes, Prayers, Songs, Entertainment and Inspiration As traditional in Canada, a First Nations chief will welcome delegates to the land on which the Conference takes place. Inuit singer Susan Aglukark and other native performers will perform "O Siem". Quebec chanteuse Joe Bocan will perform "L'amour existe encore." Other Ceremony highlights, including the debut of the song "One World, One Hope," is available in the Opening Ceremony Program.
