Conference organisers are pleased to announce that eight presenting authors of accepted abstracts were
chosen to receive "Young Investigators Awards." Authors of the two highest scoring abstracts in each track
submitted by researchers 35 years old or younger were identified.
These abstracts were reviewed in a blinded fashion and scored by the 700 member International Scientific
Committee.The authors will receive a grant of $2000 each to put toward their work.The Conference
organisers chose to honour young researchers in an effort to encourage them to continue in the field of
HIV/AIDS, bringing new and fresh ideas to the global effort.
Each Young Investigator will be presented with their award on Thursday, July II during the Rapporteur Sessions
at GM Place beginning at 7 pm.
