3 w w w w.rte u Scholarship Program The XI International Conference on AIDS plans to operate a Scholarship Program to subsidize the participation of delegates from developing countries and newly independent states, as well as delegates living with HIV/AIDS.A Scholarship Application Form is contained in the Second Announcement package. Delegates whose abstracts have been submitted and accepted will be given priority, as will those applicants who demonstrate a willingness and ability to share the knowledge acquired at the Conference in their own community or country. The scope of the Scholarship Program depends on the Conference's success in raising funds from donors to support the program.We will continue our efforts well into next spring to bring as many deserving delegates as possible. Please watch for the Second Announcement and upcoming community newsletters for further details. Summer in Vancouver is every traveller's dream.To keep up with the locals, be prepared to spend your free time hiking, cycling, swimming, golfing, roller blading, or just strolling the Seawall. If you head east to BC's interior you can enjoy a vacation at lakeside resorts or climb high into the majestic Canadian Rockies. And just a short drive north ofVancouver is the famous resort town of Whistler which is as lively in summer as it is during the ski season. The XI International Conference on AIDS will require concentration and commitment from participants, but we hope you'll make the most of your free time during your stay in Vancouver.
