Facts and Issues [International Conference on AIDS (11th: 1996: Vancouver, Canada)]

The work spaces are booked to broadcasters for the duration of the Conference and are assigned on a first-come, first served basis. Additional work space for radio broadcasters is available in the Radio Work Room, an open area with tables and chairs.Telephones are not supplied in work spaces or the open work area. Broadcasters are required to make their own arrangements for booking telephones through General Motors Place at 899 7535. Radio Voice Booths Six voice booths are available for radio broadcasters and do not need to be reserved. Television Edit Spaces Fourteen edit spaces are available for broadcasters to set up their equipment.These spaces will be wired with ten video and 13 audio feeds from Master Control distribution. The ten video feeds are: I Opening/Closing/Plenaries/News Conferences 2 Scientific Sessions (VTCC Ballrooms) 3 Scientific Sessions (VTCC Hall A East) 4 Scientific Sessions (VTCC Hall A West) 5 Scientific Sessions (VTCC Hall C) 6 Standup (VTCC Prow) 7 Standup (General Motors Place) 8 Colour bars 9 Colour black 10 Trunk line The thirteen audio feeds are: I Opening/Closing/Plenaries/News Conferences 2 Scientific Sessions (VTCC Ballrooms) 3 Scientific Sessions (VTCC Hall A East) 4 Scientific Sessions (VTCC Hall A West) 5 Scientific Sessions (VTCC Hall C) 6 Standup (VTCC Prow) 7 Standup (General Motors Place) 8 English Translation 9 French Translation 10 Spanish Translation II Tone 12 Time code 13 Trunk line Each space accommodates one edit suite and includes tables and chairs, power (20 amp, 117 volt, 60 cycle) and voice booths in close proximity Telephones are not supplied in edit spaces. Broadcasters are required to make their own arrangements for booking telephones through General Motors Place at 899 7535.The spaces are booked to broadcasters for the duration of the Conference and will be pre-assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
