Transportation A shuttle bus service operates between the various Conference venues and to and from many hotels. Shuttle schedules are in the Conference Pocket Guide, at transportation kiosks and at each hotel served by the system. In addition, there is regular transit service by bus and SkyTrain. A BC Transit pass is on sale in the Delegate Services area at BC Place (Level 2). The $14 (CAD) pass is valid for one week and is good for unlimited travel on the local transit system including buses, the SkyTrain and the SeaBus. GENERAL INFORMATION Accommodation All accommodation requests and inquiries should be addressed to the Conference Accommodation and Travel Bureau at the Delegate Services Desk, Level 2, BC Place. Food and Beverage In addition to full meal service and snacks in the Media Restaurant and Lounge on Level 4 (Orca Bay Grille), there are a number of downtown restaurants offering discounts to Conference participants.These are listed in the Conference Pocket Guide and The Daily Progress. Information about Vancouver Tourism Vancouver can provide slides, video footage (Beta and VHS), and a media kit on Vancouver. Interested journalists should contact Laura Serena at 631 2873. Smoking Policy General Motors Place, BC Place Stadium and the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre are smoke free buildings. Time Zones Toronto + 3 hours New York + 3 hours London + 8 hours Paris + 9 hours Tokyo +17 hours Sydney +17 hours Cairo +10 hours Vancouver Press Club Media accredited to the Conference are welcome to visit local colleagues at the Vancouver Press Club, 2215 Granville Street.
