New Call for Abstracts and Registration [International Conference on AIDS (8th: 1992: Amsterdam, Netherlands)]

Rules for Abstract
Submission
Abstracts received after 2 March 1992
will not be considered.
Please follow the rules below in
completing this form:
1. Abstracts must be written in English.
2. Return the original Abstract Form,
along with ten (10) photocopies, and the
original Abstract Information Form,
along with one (1) photocopy.
3. Please follow these typing instructions
in completing your forms. Refer to the
Sample Abstract Form, which has been
completed according to the instructions.
a. Type within the lines.
b. Type the title in capital letters at the
top of the large, blank rectangle.
c. On the next line, type and underline
the presenting author's full name, last
name first. Then type other authors'
names, last name first, using initials instead of first names. If deemed necessary,
each author's affiliation should be listed,
followed by city, state/zip code, and
country. Indicate authors' affiliations
with asterisks (-) placed after each name.
You must include the presenting author's
address and telephone and FAX numbers where possible.
d. Begin the text of the abstract in the
center section of the blue rectangular

area. The main body of the abstract
should be typed single-spaced throughout. Do not squeeze lines closer than
single-spaced, and use no fewer than 10
and no more than 12 characters per inch
(2.5 centimeters). Do not use script or
italicized type.
e. Where possible, organize your abstract according to the subheadings "Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion," or alternatively, "Issue/Problem,
Description of Project, Results, and Lessons Learned."
f. Use arabic numerals for all numbers
except at the beginning of a sentence,
where numbers should be spelled out.
g. Use standard abbreviations and symbols, keeping them to a minimum, and
defining each when used for the first
time (you need not define AIDS, HIV,or
STD).
h. Simple tables and graphs, neatly
drawn in black ink, may be included if
they fit within the allotted rectangle.
i. In the bottom box in the blue rectangular area, type the name, address, and
telephone and FAX numbers of the presenting author only.
4. Complete items 1-3 on the official
Abstract Form. (These include presentation preference, track and category code,
and signature.)
5. Carefully complete the Abstract Information Form, being sure to select between three (3) and six (6) words from
the enclosed List of Key Words to be

used for indexing your abstract. Indicate
your selection by typing the code numbers that correspond to your key word
choices. (See the List of Key Words for
further instructions.)
6. Use the official orange envelope included with these materials to return all
submissions. Do not transmit abstracts
by telefax. We recommend using cardboard backing for overseas mailing.
7. Before mailing, review the checklist
included with your Abstract Forms to
ensure that your submission is correctly
prepared.
