Information about all such meetings will be included with the Final Program given to all delegates. Badges Badges must be worn for admittance to all Conference-related activities, including scientific sessions and exhibitions. Badges will be distributed on-site at the Registration Desk. Conference Complex Official events for the VIII International Conference on AIDS/III STD World Congress will be held at the RAI International Exhibition and Congress Centre (the RAI Centre) in Amsterdam. The RAI Centre is a modern conference complex with full technical facilities and a variety of meeting rooms and halls which can meet all Conference needs. Located only three kilometers from the historical centre of Amsterdam, the RAI Centre is easily accessible by air, train, bus, taxi, and car. All rooms in the Centre are wheelchair accessible. Business Service Centre The Business Service Centre located in the RAI Centre will provide services such as copy machines, fax machines, and telephones for Conference registrants. The centre will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Exhibitions An exhibition of scientific and professional products, programs, and services will take place in the RAI Conference Centre Monday, 20 July through Friday, 24 July. Exhibitors will represent commercial organizations interested in en hancing the professional and scientific education of registrants. Commercial organizations interested in exhibiting should contact BillCom Exposition and Conference Group at the address on page 22. Representatives of community service groups and non-profit organizations will sponsor exhibition booths and tabletop displays during the Conference. Any non-profit organizations interested in exhibiting should send a letter requesting such space to Ms. Jet Key, Managing Director, at the address listed on page 23. Message Centre Message centres will be located in the Conference Complex. Nursing Station A nursing station will be located in the RAI Conference Centre. This emergency care facility will be available to all Conference registrants, with emphasis on the requirements of people with HIV/AIDS. On-Site Services for People with HIV Conference planners encourage the participation of people with HIV, and will make every effort to facilitate this participation. An on-site PHIV Resource Centre will provide resting and counseling facilities, furnish information and referral to Amsterdam area HIV.and other services, and serve as a gathering place for the exchange of information among people with HIV. An on-site clinic will be staffed with physicians and nurses to dispense basic medical services, and individuals requiring care beyond routine medical attention will be evaluated and referred to Amsterdam area clinics and hospitals. All Conference facilities are wheelchair-accessible. A fact-sheet explaining in more detail the pre-Conference provisions which should be made by participants with HIV/AIDS, and the services which will be available to them during the Conference, will be available in February 1992.
