tion presented. Since the posters will be up for the entire Conference, these sessions will be scheduled throughout the week. A Forum for Increasing General Knowledge and Understanding Each day, the Conference will include State-of-the-Art presentations to provide a broad and timely summary of advances in various areas of each track. These presentations will be designed to be simultaneously of maximum use to delegates concentrating in the particular discipline and accessible to delegates from other disciplines. Other scheduled sessions will also address key areas of ongoing great interest and/or controversy, using case presentations as the basis for discussion by selected panelists. In addition, mini-courses will be organized combining both didactic and interactive methods, to allow comprehensive coverage of specific problems or issues. Each mini-course will consist of a twoto-three day series of lectures, followed by a case discussion and dialogue. A Forum for Solidarity On each day of the Conference, leading experts will analyze a pressing problem from scientific, medical, social, policy, and personal perspectives, with the aim of generating practical, realistic approaches to these complex issues. These sessions are designed to express the Conference theme, "A World United Against AIDS," demonstrating how diverse approaches contribute to understanding and can lead to effective action. Official Language The official language of the Conference is English. The opening and closing ceremonies and major Conference sessions will be simultaneously interpreted into French and Spanish. The Conference organizers are seeking additional resources to enable simultaneous interpretation of more sessions.
