He jcined the statf of the Department of Chenistry, University of lbadan in July '05 as an NIH, Pomt Doctoral Reearch Fellow. He was a Rockefeller Post Doutralt Rsearch Fellow with Professor Brirtton Chance at the Johnson Rsearch Foundation, Department of Biophyica nad Medical Physict, University of Pmnnsylvanla 96 -7o. He was at Princeton & a Pullbright Fellow in u'q, at California Instiite oiTechnology as a Vluiting Rrserhb Associate in W -74; at 1'nivusity of California Rerktle as Visiting Assistant Profssor in the Department of Chemistry, Universiy of California, Berkely, Visiting Sciaentist to the Lawrence Radiation Laboratoty, Berkeley in A976; a Visiting Hill Professor of Chemistry, University of Miannepolis, Minnesota in ~893 Professor OgunmAola Is a Chemist of Intermational repute asod his many publications in leard journal ad conaribution to chaptrs in Books ttest to his Lnellucual and scademic distinctiou. He was elected into the Felluwahip of the Nigerian Academy of Science on the basis of his outstanding contributions in the field of Physical Chemistry and in particular the application of the tools and principle of Physical Chemistry in the advancement of the understanding of important biological mairomolecule. Professor Ogunmols has made signcsant contributions to knowledge in the studies of the relationship between structure and function and molecular pathology of the hemoglobins and in particular the molecular pathology of the prevalent sickle cell and hemoglobin C diseases. His noteworthy contributions in hemoglobin research has also been extended to the Physical Chemstry and Molecular Pathology of genetic variants of Glucose.Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD) ensymes in the Nigrian environment. He has attended many intemational and national scientific confereaces u as a speaker and session leader. Ho was a member of the Internatilonal Organising Committee of the second International Conference on water and ions in biological system at Bucharest in:98. He was elected a member of the International Committee on Education in Biophysics at the Sixth Intemational Congress of Biophysics in 1978 and was a member of the European Expert Committee on Biophyil since *910. He served on the Editorial Board of the Niprian Journalof Sdentae and was Deputy Editor and Edir respectively at various times.
