                                  The Troyens then sclow the Grues,
                                
                                  That thei for wo chaunged thaire hewes;

                                  For thei were so ouersete,
                                
                                  Thei fledde a-way and lefft here place;
                                
                                  The Troyens thanne hem gon chace

                                  And hewes of hem armes & schank.
                                
                                  The Gruwes for-sothe hadde deye[d] alle—
                                
                                  So wo that tyme hem was by-falle
