'My ffayrë ffrend,' a-noon quod she, [prose cap xxxiii] 'Lych as I consydre & se, Thy wyt ys blont & dul som del, That thow mayst nat se ryht wel; Line 2872 And thogh thow haue at skolë be, Thow hast nat ther (as semeth me,) Lernyd gret wyt, nor bore a-way; And specyaly (I dar wel say,) [Stowe folio 55b] Line 2876 Thow hast nat lernyd, for al thy wyt, predicamentum [[Fr. Le predicament]] ad aliquid. ffor thys predicament, sothly, Hath hys beholdyng (fynaly) [folio 45b] Line 2880 Vnto som other maner thyng Than to hym sylff, as in werkyng Makyng (in conclusïon, [Il fait son edifiement Sur aultruy tous moult sagement.
