[verse 14] Ande a womman whos name was Lydda [C folio 49] , a purpurere of þo cyte of Thiathire, þo whiche worschipped God, herde vs: whos herte God opunde, forto [to S.P.D.] biholde vnto [to S.P.D.] þo þinges þat wore saide of Poule. [verse 15] Ande whanne sche [ȝhe P.] was baptised, [ande] [S.P.D. in C.] hire howse, she [ȝhe P.] preyed, sayande, If ȝhe deme me trewe vnto God, enteres into my howse, ande dwelles þere [S folio 114] . Ande sche [ȝhe P.] gartte [constreyned S.P.D.] vs. [verse 16] Ande hit bifelle, whanne we wente forto preye, þat a wenche þat hade a spiritte of a wycche mette vs, þo whiche gafe grete wynnynge vnto [to S.P.D.] [hire] [S.P.D. þer C.] lordes by dyuynynge. [verse 17] Sche [ȝhe P.] folowed Poule ande vs, criande ande sayande, Þise men ben þo seruantes of þo highe God, þo whiche schewen to ȝowe þo waye of hele. [verse 18] Þis sche did many days; ande Poule mournande for hire, he [& S.P.D.] turned hym ande spake [seyde to S.P.D.] vnto þo spiritte, I bidde þe in þo name of Iesu Criste to go oute fro hire. Ande þo yuel spiritte wente oute of [fro S.P.D.] hire in þo same howre. [verse 19] Ande whanne hire lordes see, þat þe spiritte of [hire] [S.P.D. þeire C.] was away, þei toke Poule ande Sylam, ande ledde hem forþe [verse 20] into þo market [chepynge S.P.D.] vnto [to S.P.D.] þo princes, ande schewed hem to þo magistrates, sayande, Þise men sturbulen [disturbeþ S.P.D.] ande deceyue [ande deceyue om. S.P.D.] [verse 21] alle oure cytee, for þei ben Iewes, ande þei tellen a maner þat es noghte leffulle to vs to receyue or [noþur S.P.D.] do, siþen we ben Romaynes. [verse 22] Ande þo puple ranne agayn hem, ande þo magistrates, [ande] [S.P.D. wiþ C.] þer [þe (here D) cloþis of hem were tore S.P.D.] cloþes [wore] torne, ande [þei] comanded hem forto [to S.P.D.] be beten wiþ ȝerdes.
